Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all keeping nice and warm during this deep freeze.
Which is what I would like to talk to you about.
Animals know it’s cold too, and their survival instincts tell them to find a warm place to sleep. Namely, your home.
Mice and rats will typically try to get in around ground level. Usual suspects are your garage door (ensure that the rubber boot is snug to the ground), Utility entrance points to the home, and low windows. Look in the snow for animal tracks and see if they lead to your home.
Another area to look at are garbage storage and sheds.
If they are in look for droppings anyplace near where food and water tend to be. Don’t discount where you watch TV and snack! Crumbs work fine for these guys. If you hear them in the wall, look at your attic. Tunnels and droppings in the insulation are strong indicators of rodent activity. If this is happening, call your pest control professional.
